Schedule 1 species of birds – Peregrine Falcon Falco peregrinus

I have worked on Peregrine Falcon projects in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and the Midlands. I have worked on large scale demolition projects were planning has require Peregrine Falcon mitigation.

I can provide the require reports/survey data and risk assessments regarding working methods necessary to safeguard protected species and ensure legal compliance.

Peregrines are listed under Schedule 1 of The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and are, therefore, protected from disturbance whilst building a nest or rearing young.

According to the National Peregrine Survey conducted by British Trust for Ornithology the Peregrine falcon numbers have declined in some areas but on the whole populations have increased. Peregrines are now as likely to be encountered in an urban setting (including large buildings, factories and churches) as well as their more traditional habitat settings of coastal cliffs, inland quarries and mountainous areas.

I have a Schedule 1 licence to survey Peregrine Falcons and I have expertise of surveying urban buildings for peregrines, mitigating for demolition projects and erecting bespoke peregrine nest boxes.
