ECOLOGIST AND PROTECTED SPECIES CONSULTANT

I regularly undertake ecology survey work in connection with barn conversions, planning applications and other developments. I hold a Natural England licences and work in accordance with Natural England and the Bat Conservation Trust.

I undertake professional bat surveys in accordance with with Collins (2016) Bat Surveys for Professional Ecologists: Good Practice Guidelines, 3rd Edition, Bat Conservation Trust, which is the standard bat survey guidance that should be referenced by all professional ecologists, and is also often referenced by developers, planners and the policy-makers responsible for reviewing and assessing the implications of professional bat surveys.

I am a totally Independent Ecologist and Protected Species Consultant working in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire and Norfolk. Red Kite and common buzzard... now probably the two most commonly diurnal raptors recorded during farmland survey work... both these birds are in wing moult having dropped inner primaries on both wings.

Another day on the Lincolnshire Wash surveying Redshank at Wrangle… a 12km transect across the saltmarsh spoiled only by discarded balloons, I pick up dozens every survey! 🤬[1/2]
